The first thing to do was to design the bear! Luckily, I already had an image of him in mind, so it only took minor tweaks to get the character design I was happy with!

Frame by Frame
I wanted to try animating frame by frame for this project so I started with probably the hardest thing to do as a beginner: a run cycle. It was challenging, but worth it!

3D Modeling
Since I had no experience with 3D, I sent this file to IV’s resident 3D person, Max, hoping that he could make the backgrounds look the way I’d imagined them. And somehow, he made them look better than I imagined!

Mixing styles for this project was a lot of fun!
I hope to continue to try new things like I did at IV!
